Difficult to get excited with our pathetic defense, but maybe Herman water boarded Orlando all week.

I think we get the home win :hookem:

The posts on hornfans have convinced me we have zero chance to win and can't stop their mobile quarterback and it's all because our coaching sucks. But I'll still maintain the sky is NOT falling!

I think we can win but really I expect KSU to make our team look stupid and unprepared

    Texas wins.
My recipe would be a real commitment to the running game. Play action passing would work so much better if we committed to running the football. I think the defense will improve with all the returning depth from injury.

How does one pick this game?

After being dominated by OU on both sides of the ball and then squeaking by Kansas in another shocker, I had expected Texas to come out smoking against TCU. It didn’t happen, and we were out coached for the third game in a row. After and since, TH seems like a deer in the headlights, and there is turmoil in the locker room.

The return of players like Sterns, Foster McCulloch and Whittington should make a difference...one would think. But I continue to wonder if Herman and particularly Orlando have the ability to fix the problems facing this team. The one possible advantage defensively could be that KSU would seem not to possess an explosive offense. But we thought going into the Kansas and TCU games...

I have to go against my heart:

    KSU 38
    Texas 35

Hope I’m wrong, and that something will have changed on the defensive side of the ball.

From the time the Purple Wizard arrived, to the current day, you need to score against them every time you have the ball. Because you aren't going to have a lot of possession unless you can sack the QB and blow up the running game. IIRC we had two second half possessions last year up there. A week ago at about the 9 minute mark, they had run 64 plays and OU had run 34.

That said, I think the Horns win 28-25. KSU can't handle prosperity.

I don't think UT magically found a pass rush during the bye week.

After looking at like opponents for both teams ....
    KSU ---- 38
    Texas -- 31
Book it !!!! Offense comes with better play selection, but KSU defense is stout.
Defense looks better with a few players back, but that KSU Mensa's offensive guy has some serious know how. No way we stop that multiple offense with a mobile QB and power running game. That speed option will kill us. KSU plays physical. We score late to make it better than it actually will be.

No way this team found a pass rush or a secondary that can cover during the off week. This will be the first of an 0-4, 1-3 at best, November. Please prove me wrong Horns.
