I told my buddy in the stands before the game last Saturday that I really had no idea how the game would go. Would we dominate, be dominated, keep it close? I had no idea. I did think though that Sam’s performance would be key.

I have much more confidence going into TCU; more confidence in SE, and more in TH. They both had good games Saturday. Also, we broke a recent trend of losing “revenge” games.

This team enters the TCU game with a different mindset. They now believe that they can play with anyone. The Dicker factor may also be big.

I like our youth and speed on defense that might just stack up well against TCU...

I’ll pick TCU because I picked USC last week...and we won. Superstition.

I think TCU's offense is more potent and their defense is better than USC's offense and defense.
Therefore, I am going with this prediction.
    TCU - 30
    Texas - 17

I have a feeling that the Horns will play alright. I think we win 24-14 or somewhere in there.

34-24 Texas wins. But we better play defense really well. And we better defend and block well when punting. TCU always has good ST.

Agree with some of Duke's comments about the team gaining some new confidence. I too gained some new confidence in this team, TH and Sam.

However, Patterson is a master at having his team ready, focused to play hard and to WIN. Thought TCU fought tOSU all the way but got worn down toward the end.

Horns will have to play well like they did vs. the University of Spoiled Children last Sat. They could also greatly benefit from a raucous, obnoxious and consistently loud home crowd - I think that helped energize the team based on comments I heard....

Heart says it will be a close one:

For picking the closest score last week vs. USC , did you award H-Town Bevo his certificate to the free attendance at a Mensa meeting ?

I think it will be a hard-fought, fun, great game. Tough to call.
I think it will come down to their cheerleaders hair, makeup and everything really being too much for the toads to carry...
Our coming out...first real statement game:

If Texas can win the "good" feeling will start back. Until then they are what they are. I don't see Texas scoring more than 34; unfortunately I don't see TCU scoring less than 40.

TCU has a much better defense than usc. Texas Defense will match up well with the tcu offense.
I like our receivers matching up well with the undersized tcu D backs. I think our back seven's speed matches up well with the frogs receivers and RB's.
I like TCU's special teams better than ours--except for Dicker who is tops.
All adds up to a very close game.

The blitz packages that Patterson will throw at Sam will be the key.

It's going to be a close game. Both teams probably scoring 28-31 pts. However, if the D's play well and no ST mistakes then it will be lower scoring. Who scores TDs and not just FGs will win. I don't like picking against Texas, but TCU has more experience lately in big games.
Here's hoping we get over the hump at DKR 30-27
