I agree that the Gazans have natural rights and specifically a right to self-governance. They voted in Hamas to rule over them but it isn't a real state. I believe they have a right to a state. And if they are being oppressed they have a right to push back.
Mona Their vote had nothing to do with Israel. Israel is not the ones using civilians incuding children as shields I think your issue is with Hamas and the Palestian Authority.
**** show from top to bottom: Watch Angry Parents Blast Teachers Union President On C-SPAN: You 'Failed Our Children'
I wish teacher unions would drop the pretense that they are in it for the children. They'd have a lot more credibility with me if they did. They aren't child advocates. They are labor unions. Their job is to pursue the interests of their members, and that's OK. I wouldn't allow public sector workers to unionize, but if the public is stupid enough to allow them and doesn't mind getting hosed, that's on them. I'm not going to bust their balls for existing if the laws allow for it. Complaining to them about how bad children get screwed is like complaining to the United Farm Workers that your peach was mealy. They don't give a ****, and it's not their job to give a ****. But teacher unions pretend that they do, and that puts them in this weird position when their members' interests are adversarial to the interests of parents and students (which frankly is most of the time).
C'mon man! You know they are going to tell you the best accomplishment is that he isn't Trump and he isn't sending 'mean tweets.' They will ignore the damage being wrought upon the American populace by SlowJoe...
And yet, the BA is touting more unions, not less. The police unions are also a major source of frustration to the Left. But somehow, these vigorous tactics to protect their members is suddenly forgotten when it comes to unions in the business world. And as for public servant unions, I'm with you. They should be outlawed. We have to pay them out of our pockets regardless of their competence. They are building up huge pension debts. It's only going to cause huge problems because raising taxes is the only answer. If they don't like it, then they should be in the private sector. I do support retirement help for teachers but not for government agency employees.
Yes... I kind of put them in a class of their own. Big time. I was asleep at the wheel on that one. I'd say teaching the kids and risking your life requires the best we can get and in the case of risking your life, the reward from a grateful nation.
Six actual days or six days that he remembered? And we need to make sure we are not measuring in jail time...after all if you get booked in at 11:59P, you get credit for the day just as a release at 12:01 counts as a day...
It's been 9 hours, and no reply from a Joe supporter. I'd like to hear of his accomplishments as well.
The vaccinations are a windfall from the work done prior to his tenure. Everything else has been wholly symbolic.
For me, the biggest problem with teacher unions (and most government sector unions) is that there often isn't a truly adversarial relationship between them and those with whom they negotiate. When the UAW negotiates with GM, UAW is clearly on the side of its workers, and GM is clearly on the side of its shareholders, which generally means to keep costs down, which makes the relationship adversarial. When a teacher union negotiates with a shool district, the school boards are frequently people who have taken campaign money directly from the union. The union has the board or certainly many of its members by the balls, and that means the relationship isn't truly adversarial. But again, if the local citizens don't want this ethical problem, they don't have to allow it. Public employees don't have some constitutional right to unionize. The public lets them do it, and sure enough, they get ******. Their taxes are going to be higher, and it's going to be dramatically harder to fire crappy employees. If they choose to elect freak shows to run their school boards and end up with higher taxes and crappy public service as a result, that's their problem. Maybe they should learn from their mistakes, but I respect people's right to make stupid decisions.
From Biden shît show to full of shît: Commerce Secretary on corporate tax rate: ‘Many CEOs felt that 21% was too low’
I agree. This is a flat-out lie and Liberals are liars and they always have been. We all know it. That's why I'm not impressed at all over their "shocked" attitude towards Trump.
More **** show: This either means no power for developing countries in Africa or China will finance it.
Doesn't look like there is much progress on the infrastructure bill - Infrastructure deal slips, GOP pans $1.7T White House offer (yahoo.com). And it also looks like the Dems are digging in hard on having the "human infrastructure" included, regardless of cost impacts. Interesting quote from the link: "But, administration aides believe, if such an "infrastructure only” bipartisan deal is far smaller than Biden’s original proposal, the White House risks a rebellion from Democrats who could claim that the president made a bad deal and missed the moment to pass a sweeping, transformational package." Translation - the Dems aren't willing to budge from their huge "transformational package." Guess the Democratic control of Congress is not as solid as Biden and Pelosi would like - the Squad and their supporters have ideas of their own, and may not toe the party line.
^6721, that seems to be the rallying cry of the Squad - "Just pay for it!" They don't care where the money comes from - or how much the Government has to print. Deficits mean nothing to them - they just want to see their vision of the United Socialist States of America.
Speaking of The Squad, who here wants to see them bully America because they are pro-Islam? It's not even close. The cultural and emotional bias is stark. They are here now and have a platform. They are trying to intimidate Biden with their shrill unhinged hatred for Israel. That's not a Democracy. That's immigrants who somehow gained power and are now demanding they get their own way regardless of how small their constituency actually is. Ask The Squad which ME country is the model for us. Just ask them. I understand humanitarian concerns but I don't believe for one minute that is all they think about. And thank you to The Squad for putting Jewish lives at risk here in America: Biden condemns attacks on U.S. Jewish community as 'despicable' The incredible one-sidedness of attacking Trump over Jan 6th even though he CLEARLY said he wanted peaceful demonstrations in the face of Maxine Waters and The Squad's unhinged hatred and signals to the street to commit violence is unbelievable. FOLKS. THIS. IS. LIBERAL. REALITY.
Why Biden wait so long to condemn attacks? Must be a racist according to the libs rules used against Trump.
