It’s just Horns. They officially dropped the “Lady” years ago. But yes… very proud of this team. Truly remarkable season and a bright future ahead.

Fun fact: The Tennessee Lady Vols dropped the “Lady” and the negative reaction from Vol Nation was enough to reverse the decision. They remain the Lady Vols.

Has this been an issue one way or the other anywhere else?

I agree great season. And yes - it’s Texas Women’s Basketball. Not Lady Longhorns.
Or as you said, Horns or Longhorns. They haven’t been Lady Longhorns for years - heck at least a decade.
And yet people still refer to them incorrectly. Rarely do you see people say “Way to go men!” Sounds silly, right? So should “ladies” in my opinion.
I can only imagine how some of the players must cringe when they hear it.

I’m sure someone is going to clap back on this topic. I can probably guess the demographic of those that do.
