y old lady is moving w/ me to Texas. She had a dui and is able to get her license back, but she has to get a breathelizer in her car for one year. we are in Kansas. If we were to get this done in KS right now, apparantly (this info coming from her) she has to drive up here (from Texas to KS) once a month to have it checked out/calibrated, whatever the hell they do. She is not in any legal trouble at this time. if she blows alcohol into it, the car just wont start, she wont be in trouble, per say. 1. Does Texas have breathelizers in cars? 2. IF she moved to Texas would she be able to carry out her Kansas sentence and get a breathelizer hooked up in Texas and have a Texas license? 3. Would she even have to do a breathelizer at all? Any help would be great. her first offense.
Horn Depot would probably be a better forum for this question. It has a lot of good nuts-and-bolts type answers there.
I suggest you send a pm. This may be unseen for a little bit. Or just post again over there with a cut and paste (and a little bit of clean up).
1. Does Texas have breathelizers in cars? Yes. One of my brothers had to do this a few years back. Maybe you could get calibration requirements transferred down here?
