Questions about Longhorn All Sports Package

So my daughter will be a freshman at UT this fall and she bought the Longhorn All Sports Package and a football season ticket. This is different from when I attended UT back in the dark ages. You bought a sports package, and then on Wednesday or Thursday you would go down to draw for tickets and hoped for the best.

With the season ticket she bought, is she stuck in that same seat the entire season? If she wants to go with friends or a date to a game, how would that work? Or is it somehow still a draw? How do we find out where her seat is? All I know is it is lower deck.

Finally, she got an OU ticket today as well, but there was nothing on there about seating. Does that work the same way? Thanks for any help on this!

With the season ticket, she'll have the same seat for every game, unless she bought "friend" seats too, in which case they usually move you around to cheaper seats on those games. But my guess is she didn't buy a friend seat.

If she wants to go with a friend or a date, she's got to find her own seat, which usually isn't a problem in the student sections.

OU is basically assigned in a similar way to the student season ticket. Freshmen get the lowest priority, so she'll get a seat, but it will be assigned.

She ain't guaranteed an OU ticket at all. She may have paid for it, but being a freshmen there's a good chance she won't get the ticket, in which case she will be refunded whatever she paid for it in October and be allowed to attempt to draw a ticket through the student raffle. (good luck with that)

She'll be in the same seat every game, she will get her tickets via email in pdf format which she will print and take to the game along with her utid. It'll be the same seat every game, and the printed ticket will have her name and a barcode and her seat. If she wants to give the ticket to somebody else, she can take it to bellmont the week of and exchange it for a standard LASP ticket, which will need a student id to get in. she will not be allowed to draw a ticket the week of like most other freshmen because she has season tickets. if she wants to sit with her friends, its a simple procedure of getting through the gates with her ticket, then walking with her friends to the hallway to their seats. 2 friends with tickets go in past the guards who will check their tickets to make sure they are in the right place. they go to their seats, one friend comes back with both tickets, gives one to your daughter, and they both go in. most likely, nobody will be the wiser. every now and then you might run into a real ***** who complains they are in her seat and will start asking to see their tickets, but the vast majority of students don't care because everybody just squeezes together and the tickets are more of guidelines rather than your *** is in this 12 inch zone and it better not be anywhere else.
