    Anyone here using QBO?

We recently switched my wife’s small business over from Freshbooks, and there is one thing they have done in QB that I don’t understand.

They used to allow custom sales tax setup so, for example, you could make sure that each invoice adds 6.25% for the state, and 2% for local (Houston) tax, and get your 8.25% final sales tax.

Now, QB won't let you decide what you are supposed to charge for sales tax. They “help” you out by auto-calculating this, and it does it wrong. We are pushing invoice data over from another system (Jobber) and the 8.25% is on the invoice. The invoice gets paid, it syncs with QB, but in QB it does not recognize the local 2% rate.

    QB support is worthless.

I use QBO. We calculate sales tax each time but my transactions are high with 50% under an exemption certificate. Once the online store starts that will change.
