I have a new theory about the left's investment in keeping the affidavit sealed. Given the history of Strzok and others of lying to obtain warrants, a complete release would allow the masses to see that the FBI lied again and that DJT didn't commit the offenses that the left insists at every opportunity he DID commit.

If the affidavit would actually show true indicia of him having committed a criminal offense, then the left should want it in the daylight for all to see. They KNOW all they are going to get is the sad trombone sounder. Therefore, effort must be used to keep it sealed and away from media view...

They are also using this to paint republicans as “dangerous” versus last election’s “racist.” MSNBC used at least one hour on this topic utilizing “republicans” George Conway, Michael Steele and of course Mika’s taint. Claims were that Fox News and other major republicans were advocating for violence against the FBI and the justice department. Yet they for some reason could not provide one specific example. Watch this campaign theme grow.

I was just looking at election results in Texas for the last few cycles and was surprised to find that the top Republican presidential candidate of late was Mitt Romney, who beat Obama here by 57-41 percent.

By comparison, President Bone Spurs beat Hillary 52-42 and Slojo by 52-46.

This would seem to lend support to the idea that the GOP can run stronger in Texas if it nominates somebody who is less inflammatory than that gruesome pos who dominates the brains of both righties and lefties. Somebody that the knuckle draggers around here would dismiss as a RINO.

I have given up on my default party ever nominating anybody who is not a race baiter/hustler or borderline commie but I would like to see some sort of choice. As long as the GOP nominating system is dominated by conspiracy obsessed loonies I guess we can forget about that.

edit: sorry about the abusive language. One of the things I like about West Mall is the spirited exchanges. I get overly pumped sometimes but I love all the regulars here. Forgiveness, please

Obummer pissed a lot of people off with the UNaffordable Care Act and the lies, to say nothing about his angering of the oil industry.

And, when it comes to electoral votes in a national race, I don't care if it is 50.1 to 49.9 or 60-40...the electoral votes are STILL going to the winner in this State.

It is sad that people will vote against their own interest because of mean tweets or because of a candidate placing America first. That sort of voting is what got us the current POS and the economic bonfire burning all around us...

Trump never placed America first on much of anything.

And he never got the Mexicans to pay for the imaginary wall. Wonder why. I was sure he could talk them into it. (smirk)

This is the second FBI raid close to an election in the last year. Remember, Henry Cuellar, a very moderate Democrat from my hometown district in Laredo was in a dog-fight against an AOC acolyte in the Democrat primary. She won enough votes to force a run-off.

AOC specifically pointed him out as being a problem.

AOC Came to Texas and Named Names – Rolling Stone

So what happened? FBI raid on his home. No reason given. No news after the raid. It just sat there. Jessica was the able to reference the raid in her campaign literature. My father-in-law (A true Mexican-American who loves Trump; crazy huh?) received the flyer so I was able to read it personally.

Henry won; barely. It was so close there had to be a recount but he prevailed and will run against the Republican nominee in November.

Now Trump. Why? They want to taint the Republicans and ensure he never runs again. They want to destroy anyone who mentions his name in a positive vein so they need to pin something on him.

The thing is, he may be guilty of something. I don't know but there's lots of smoke and smoke chokes people in the voting booth.

The Republicans need to do one thing if nothing else; decouple their party name from Trump. Voting for a Republican should have nothing to do with Trump. It has to be a complete separation.

Just think what he could have accomplished if the enviro-whackos and libtiles weren't trying to obstruct at every step of the way...

It is sad watching a party completely abdicate the entirety of the Southern border. The biggest clue that they didn't care about southern States being overwhelmed is how few illegals it took for Eric Adams to squeal like a freshman at a Beatles concert...never mind that McAllen was dealing with more than the total received on buses up there every single day...and the fact that Adams apparently voiced no concerns when the feds were FLYING the illegals to Westchester.

DJT was trying to get America off of the China tit and bring businesses BACK to the United States. He ran into roadblocks at almost every step of THAT path as well...again, showing that it is almost as if the left is so beholden to China that they hate America.

    Why DO you hate America?

When a poster constantly calls him bone spurs and refers to those of us who think Romney and other so-called Republicans are RINOs as "knuckle draggers", well, that poster, to quote the famous hp slugger, is not to betaken seriously.

you guys need to keep in mind that for the first two years of his administration Trump had majorities in the House and Senate and could not get them to do much of anything besides a tax cut, which any Republican could have done.

His bluster and bs alienated enough Americans that he lost that two house majority and was reduced to just bluster for the last two years.

I don't think much of the investigations of him and will be surprised if the search of his home turns up anything at all. That wont stop the crazies from hating him or believing he is a Russian stooge or whatever other weird conspiracy theories they hold. Just like his goofy admirers wont quit thinking there is some grand plan behind his constant bs. He is a salesman and if he can't sell one thing he will try another.

As for me hating America, I have lived here for over 70 years and have never been inclined to move. It is my country and I am free to detest all the scum in high political office and only regret that more of you don't do the same.

How many of us don't detest most politicians? Thus the term RINO. But, the country was humming under Trump. Since I don't have to interact with or see him, what do I care about the stupid tweets?

@huisache, it is funny that you don't see the irony in calling Trump "Bone Spurs" and many of us "knuckle draggers" is the very thing you claim was so blusterous and it is exactly what you do here.

All the funding in the world does not do a bit of good when the left is filing frivolous litigation at every turn and impeding progress.

It is not the fault of DJT that we have a nation filled with idiots that are too stupid to see the positives in his policies and goals...instead, they get upset because of 'mean tweets' and voted for a basement dweller. And MANY of those fools regret their vote but would STILL vote for more economic implosions.

My feeling on the Tweets is that it alienated people who otherwise might have voted Republican. I'd rather a moderate Republican hold office than a Liberal even though I'm a Democrat.

Yeah... it was a horrible 4 years. Peace, prosperity, lowest unemployment in half a century...I'm sure glad we got Biden to straighten all this **** out for you.

If you'll excuse me, I need to file down my knuckles. Pavement gets them a tad on the rough side.

It turned off the upper middle class, who were more worried about their social status than their financial situation. However that changes quickly when Biden goes after your job, 401k, kids, tax returns, etc.

You should care about them because they help put leftists in power and inhibit the conservative agenda.

Lol. You do know that most people under 45 know who Trump is because he had a successful reality TV show, right? They don't remember the real estate and casino stuff he was doing on the '80s.

Do you seriously believe that if he did not tweet at all the media would not find other reasons to vilify him and try to make him look bad?

Any conservative who did not vote for him in 2016 or 2020, especially considering the opponents and what was at stake with SCOTUS, is not a real conservative. Put aside whatever supposed personality issues you think he has and look at Hillary and Biden.

I didn't watch his show. I did see bits of it because my wife watched it. It was not the same "reality" TV I am referring to. Big Brother, the MTV shows, and the like.

    1) The more reliable pollsters (the more accurate ones) say that's bunk.
    2) Conservative agenda? Which one is that? The one where we get bent over constantly with the neocons in charge of the party?

Sorry, but the America First crowd, the one you call ********, are our only chance.

For f's sake, Trump was so horrible with the tweets. Meanwhile, when they could drag Biden out of the basement, he constantly retorted with an angry, "Come on, man!!", challenged people to push up contests, called someone who questioned him fat and another a dog faced pony soldier. No one in the media ever called that out but they sure made fun of "Bigly".

Please, I'm sick of hearing that Trump's tweets lost the election. It was the concerted effort from the media and the left. And, maybe his biggest mistake, the reaction to the covid and allowing lockdowns, etc, and not firing Fauci and Birx.

The media used the tweets to question the status of upper middle class folks who normally don’t like being called racist, etc and too dumb to see the manipulation and propaganda by the media. By the time they see it, it’s too late. We saw this in 2008-2010 with Obama.

I still contend Trump did not stand a chance from the get go because the ‘insiders’ viewed him as an ‘outsider’ and never the two shall meet. The swamp cannot be drained - period. We’re on the down hill slope in a run away train.

Which pollster says of Trump didn't turn off voters? The election results of '18 and '20 suggest he did.

The one that took the tax rates from 70 percent to 28 percent, whipped the Soviet Union, reformed welfare, balanced the budget in the '90s, and caused a realignment in legal study (which is the only reason Trump had qualified candidates to choose for the judiciary).

I'm not saying there are no valid points of criticism. There are, but some perspective is in order. It's absurd to suggest that there was no conservative agenda prior to Trump.

I don't call the America First crowd ********. I know plenty of them. Obviously, you'll find plenty of ******** in every large group, but most of them aren't. Nevertheless, we need a coalition to win elections. The America First crowd is not enough by itself.

Trafalgar and People's Pundit. They lean conservative and are extremely accurate, more so than the big boys. The losses in '18 and '20 were due to other factors like 24/7 negative media coverage, not mean tweets.

All of those accomplishments were 20 or so years ago. The neocons have ruined the party with endless overseas fighting and the lack of wanting to engage the libs in the culture wars. Even when we have all branches of government under control we keep losing.

I am not the president so I can exaggerate without alienating a million voters or being subjected to the abuse of half the congress and a variety of cable "news" networks.

I did manage to draw the attention of Dionysius though. I respect his opinion and edited in an apology. To you guys, not to the Maximum Lider
