I went snooping on the smu 247 page yesterday just to see what was being said about Shane and it’s basically what we all know and more than likely would have thought. He has a familiar face to throw to now also.
I always wondered how come big time schools like Bama or Texas don’t have partner schools from lesser conferences set up for transfers. Seems like it would be more efficient in terms of matriculation, etc. Even the offense and defense philosophy could be coordinated.
We walked away, not because the years were lean, but because they kept playing the August and September games at 11:30 and 2:30...It was too damn HOT for my grandkids and ME.......Continue support from inside with A/C on my sofa...
Oh how I remember those games, wet towel on head and all. Really surprised there weren't numerous heat related health issues.
McNeal is going to play LB for SMU. They floated the idea of him playing defense at FIU after he had a decent rs-jr season at WR/H-Back, and then he didn't want to, and found himself in the dog house with Kiffin (as if that's possible). He bulked up to like 250, kept hitting the weight room, and made some good inroads to his friends in the DFW area to get him a gig at a 4th college.
And you can't bring in water, and the (very low number of) fountains emit hot water, and you have to pay $5 to get any cold water.
Sounds like some of Steve Patterson's brilliance. Literally torture fans for some extra $. Surprised he didn't fill the water fountains with salt and vinegar.
