If you haven’t seen, it’s the latest, greatest revelation from the WPP. Serious stuff for sure but for some reason, this quote really tickled me:

“Richard Mann II, who was a former assistant director of pro personnel, said in a text message, which was acquired by The Post, that he and his colleagues debated whether or not a female employee's breasts had been improved by a surgical procedure. Mann was also fired last week by the team.”

That’s terrible!!! I’ll bet that NO ONE on Hornfans has EVER discussed women’s breasts with a “male” coworker or friend. Speaking sticky for myself, my interactions with coworkers have always been solely for the purpose of interpreting scripture.

    :rolleyes1:

Yep. All those Redskins fans through the years who were fans because of their hatred of...whatever those people are supposed to be called, can now put their hatred aside.

These jackasses talked like this among themselves but also said things directly to the women. That's not cool.

I've discussed how hot a coworker is with friends but not with people at the job. It's not for stupid political reasons but for reasons of professionalism, modesty, and not being an *******. As I've mentioned before, I had a pretty hot legal assistant when I was doing God's Work, but that's something I say when I'm with a bunch of dudes (or the occasional lesbian) that don't know her, didn't go to my office, and would have known to keep their mouths shut if they had. I never would have commented on her looks or her body to her or at the office. Why not? Because it's unprofessional, rude, and would have needlessly made her uncomfortable. When you're at the office, you act like a professional. That's what a gentleman does. Talking about a coworker's T&A around the water cooler (or even worse, to her face)? That's what an unprofessional jackass does.

America has become pussyfied. If these same standards applied 30-40 years ago there wouldn’t be 10% of the management staff of any bank, oil company, NFL team, insurance company, trading company, retail company, POTUS, senate or house member etc. etc. etc. that would not have been terminated.
    What a joke.

Watch the totalitarian socialists reveal their hypocrisy, ONCE AGAIN, by ignoring Biden's charges. They don't believe the victim at all. They believe in power.

Interesting how this is coming out against an owner who the NFL would like to go away.

They have something on all of us. The only time I lost a job (called a layoff; I got severance and unemployment that they didn't challenge; the company consolidated the accounting function to the regional office but I had a personality conflict with the a-hole controller) my boss (the a-hole controller) came into town and asked me to walk to the back of the plant with him. He pointed out a motorcycle was in the garage (receiving dock). It was the motorcycle of the head of our printing operations. He had been transferred in from the regional office which is where a-hole came from. He looked at me and said, "You're supposed to be in charge of protecting our assets and this motorcycle shouldn't be here."

They never said a word to the head of plan operations.

Everyone knew he parked it there including our GM. But this dude was looking for something to get rid of me...

    And they did.

Further on the back story. My crazy ex-wife is an attorney and had gotten a job at Dell. We made a family decision to pull a part-time @Mr. Deez move and I asked for a pay-cut, a day off a week and flex hours. They had reluctantly agreed. I was called out in meetings for this but others supported me. Anyway, they didn't think I was committed, which I wasn't.

Four months later (this was in 2001) I landed my current job. It's the best job I've ever had and it was a huge blessing that I was let go.

30-40 years ago, you didn't have idiots stupid enough to have contemplated reducing such thoughts to writing. Granted, email and texting really wasn't a thing...but comments were kept to a form that was not easily reproduced in a complaint...

In my experience, though, the sexual advances were much more open in the office and especially if there was a happy hour.

Oh yeah...without a doubt. BUT...at least there wasn't a written record like these idiots seem to have created by texts.

What people are willing to do electronically really baffles me. They'll say crazy and offensive things. They'll send pictures of their junk. I just don't understand people being that dumb. If you do that sort of thing, there's a permanent record of it. You can't get rid of it. It also isn't dependent on anyone's memory. If you got drunk and said something stupid in 1990, most people would forget it by now. With digital media, if you say something stupid, it can be verified 50 years later.

You also can't disassociate yourself from it. Suppose you mailed a dick-pic to someone in 1990 and then ran for office in 2020. There's no way for anyone to prove that you actually sent it or that it's your junk. You can deny it all day long. Hell, Trump probably did that to people randomly back then. What if you text or email a dick-pic today and then run for office in 2050? It'll still be in the person's inbox, and it'll be undeniably tied to you. It'll ruin your career unless by 2050 so many people will have sent dick-pics that no one will care.

This is not going to placate the bedwetters either, given their view of George Washington now
They should just go ahead and change it to "The Football Club"
And, of yeah, lets now talk about changing the name of one of the states

I pretty much mastered this years ago. Not one peep about that new dress or nice 'do at the hair salon. Even towards women I've worked with for twenty years. I just don't let it affect me anymore.

That doesn't address whether they deserved to be terminated or not, nor whether they were being unprofessional ******** towards women or not.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer team and fan base.... Not all, but MANY of their fans hate Dallas and the Dallas Cowboys more than they love the Wash. Redskins.

I had a job promotion transfer that took me and my young family to a Northern Va suburb of D.C. about 25 years ago. We lived there about 3 years and I even attended a few Redskins games during that time.

I didn't go out of my way to point out I was from Texas, had lived / moved from Dallas or a Cowboys fan. If they picked up on my slight Texas twang or a Texas type phrase, it would invite many of them to ask if I was from Texas, what city and was I a Cowboys fan. I answered honestly but usually not wishing to engage on those topics. Many times they couldn't wait to tell me how much they hated the Cowboys and or Dallas or it's fans.

I suppose if I lived in a Philly suburb and worked in that area I would experience much worse contempt / hate for the Cowboys and or Dallas.

I lived there about 13 years ago. The Dallas Cowboys had the 2nd most fans in the area that I met. Of course that was when GWB was in office.

Saying that today's standards would implicate a lot of people in the past does not, by itself, address that point at all. It would have be paired with a convincing argument that most of those people in the past were not doing anything wrong.
