Remember the Art & Sausages Party 1977?

    Jay Adkins and Skip Slyfeld were absurdists and won the election in 1977 Student/Government Elections. They wanted to do away with committees and have only 2; the people for things and the people against things, as well as putting a 250 foot condom on the tower. And yeah, I voted for them. A year or so later we voted to abolish student government altogether and each student saved a fee of $50 from tuition. The slogan was “we think we can get nothing a lot cheaper”. Fun times!     I do recall that! I was in a local HS at the time, but very aware of what was going on on campus.

    It's also making me remember when Avon, Colorado voted to name its new bridge, "Bob."
