Does anyone have any idea what it costs to replace the aluminum wiring in a 1960s era house? the house is approximately 2500 square feet. Any recommendations for electricians to perform or provide estimates for this work?
    Thanks

I'm guessing 5 grand, and another thousand in drywall repair.

Aluminum wiring isn't necessarily a problem as long as the proper switches, receptacles, etc. are used.
