Congressional Dems: "Here's our plan, but we're not sure what it will cost" Congressional Pubs: "Here's our plan, we're not sure what it will cost, but we are sure that it'll cost less than theirs!" American People:
JohnnyM, Is spot on... The Democratic plan is sure to suck as much as the Republican plan, and the other way around as well. The problem is too many special interests, too few well informed people voting, and too complex a system as it is now. I fully expect whatever passes to be too long and too complex for anyone who votes for or against it to read. It is amazing how horrible legislation gets proposed and passed by both parties. None of the reform that comes out of Washington on this matter will likely be good reform.
as you see it groverat, what problems are 'solved' by the Dems proposal? _________________________________________________ the government gets to decide who lives and dies.
As opposed to the insurance companies who make those decisions now? There are plenty of solid arguments against nationalized health care, but that's not one of them.
