Tired of sending money to Time Warner.

My wife still wants a "landline" even thought it is VOIP.

    Any recommendations?

    Other facts:
    We have Roadrunner right now.
    We're probably switching to Dish.
Wife's cell has unlimited minutes, mine is "pay by the minute" (minimal use).
Kids are old enough to want to call friends sometimes, but no cell phones on the horizon for them (yet).

    Any help is appreciated. [IMG]

Ooma dot com has a box for VOIP to landline phones.

Verizon has 'Home Phone Connect (or Home Phone ...something-something - I forget) that bridges landlines to their cell system.

Yes, Ooma. Free except for the box and monthly tax. Rated #1 by Consumer Reports. Have used it for a couple years with no problems.
