Wow this broke me. Prayers for Sam and his entire family

Found in West Campus.... there's no cause of death that will be easy to swallow but I really hope it's not alcohol related, especially with Cinco De Mayo yesterday. Unbelievable tragedy. Prayers to Sam and their mother and sister.

 

I just saw this a few minutes ago. What a shock! Prayers for the family.

 

As I recall, their father suddenly died while competing in a triathlon. And now Jake dies apparently walking along, no foul play per the report I saw. Sad...very sad.

 

Such tragic news, God Bless that family and watch over them.

 

Hadn’t heard this during the day and almost went off the road when local radio said it. Unbelievably sad - prayers for all the family and friends.

 

Prayers to the family. Nothing can help heal but time. I remember a similar brother loss of two Longhorns with the Nobis family. Bad things happening to good people. So sad.

 

Heard this for the first time an hour ago.... OMG, I'm so sad for this terrible loss, for his teammates but especially for Sam and his family. God give them peace and strength during this VERY difficult time.

 

My immediate thought and fear was suicide, so I am glad to hear potential evidence to the contrary.
Tragic, no matter how or what...but what I feared is just too too sad for me to bear.
I hope it isn't.
Sounds instead perhaps natural...

What an absolute tragedy. There aren't enough prayers in the Universe for this family.

 

Here’s to hoping we hang 48 points on someone in a tribute game.

Still one of my all time favorite moments of any sporting event was when we put 44 on the board and Mack had the team kneel on the xp to keep the score at Cole’s number in the game we honored his family. What a chilling moment and true Longhorn honor.
