He and Icahn tried to buy two oil companies that I worked for. We beat both back, but in the end, both were gobbled up by other O&G companies. Pickens' people were two or three rungs above Icahn's people.
That number cannot be determined for a few more years because it is dependent on how our administration performs on the money he "loaned" to Texas. If the University grows that to make an additional $250 million, Texas keeps the money. If not, all the original funds plus earning revert to oSu.
