Brionne Butler and Asjia O'Neal are currently with Team USA in Turkey for VNL pool play. They beat current world #1 Serbia 3-2 this morning. Serbia was without two of their big guns but so was Team USA. Bri started and played all 5 sets. Asjia came in at the start of the 3rd set and finished the match. While Chiaka is on the training roster, she is not on this trip. The VNL finals are in Arlington in July. Next pool play match is Friday at noon, it will be streaming on volleyballworld.tv for $$

Team USA went 4-0 in the first week of pool play. The most impressive win was against host, Turkey. Bri started the match and Asjia came on in relief for her. In two weeks, there is more pool play in Brazil. The roster will be announced shortly. Hopefully, we have Chi, Bri and Asjia on that roster.
Team USA is still tearing it up. In Week 3 of pool play they beat Poland in 5 and swept Bulgaria. The VNL comes to Arlington July 12-16. Hopefully we have one or two Longhorns on the roster for the matches in Arlington. Tickets are available tickets.volleyballworld.com/arlington
