T Rex got in. They’ve got some cool songs, but IMO they’re pretty marginal for hall of fame level talent and accomplishment. It’s getting watered down.
Considering rock and roll doesn't exist much anymore there are very few new bands so the pool of candidates is shrinking. That's my take anyway.
Exactly! When I was a kid there was rock & roll, a class called "bubblegum", country, bluegrass, R&B, and classical. Seem now there is 3 or 4 categories of just what was rock & roll; rock, metal rock, alternative, and progressive. Those seem to intermix sometimes as well.
