Will the Rocket be convicted this go around? Will the hero take a fall? Clemens clearly has little regard for the truth and honesty, but is another federal trial worth it? The feds had their shot at him and screwed the pooch. Why go through this again?
Perham, since I usually disagree with every post you have, I want to take this opportunity to agree that this is a complete wast of taxpayer money. Did Roger take performance enhancing drugs? I'd say it is pretty obvious that he did. However, at this point, who the hell cares? If the MLB really cared at the time they would have tested for it. Why are the American taxpayers on the hook for another trial? It is a waste.
Think of all the good that was done by Congress investigating the horrific Quiz Show scandal back in the 1950s.
