13 players that are active, with Jatarie redshirting after transferring. Hard to believe that we will seeing Kelsey and Brianna enter their final season. Kelsey, even sharing time with Imani, who ended up being the 2nd best shot blocker at Texas, will also end up in the top ten amongst shot blockers. She has a chance to end up as high as sixth. The juniors number four: Tasia, Ariel, Brooke and Audrey-Ann. That's a pretty good class with two All Big 12 players (Brooke, 1st team & Ariel, 2nd team) to go with a JUCO All American in Audrey-Ann. Ariel was one of two Longhorns named to the 2016 Bridgeport All-Regional Team. Sophs include Jordan, LaShann (the other Horn named to the 2016 Bridgeport All-Regional Team), Olamide, and Khaléann. Incoming Frosh: Alecia, Joyner and Jada. Alecia and Joyner are McD's AAs, of whom there are several on the team. This looks to be a very deep, versatile team with players capable of playing various roles as needed. Imani's defensive and rebounding prowess inside will be missed. Kelsey has the ability to replace Imani's rebounding but she and others will need to step up to reduce the loss of Imani in blocking and altering shots inside. Getting antsy waiting for the season to start. Can't wait for open practices so I can at least have the occasional opportunity to watch the team practice before the game start.
