They have a brutal schedule. From their press release on 3/10/2010: The Hawkeyes are in the home stretch of their 18 straight games on the road. Iowa will fly to Texas for a 10-day spring trip featuring nine games. The Hawkeyes will face third-ranked Texas in a four-game series (March 12-14), Texas San-Antonio in a two-game set (March 16-17) and Pan American in a three-game series (March 19-20), all on their home fields. Interesting schedule for them... I can't say I've seen too many 4 game series against the same opponent. Do y'all remember this ever happening before?
I know some 4 game series have happened before, but I couldn't tell you when or against whom. BU did one with Oral Roberts last weekend
Northern schools especially love early season 4 game series because it gets them their 4 games in a week but doesn't make them travel for a mid week game. Saves a lot of money on travel costs and keeps the kids in the classroom.
