Since the Saccone’s Anderson Mill location was closed awhile back due to fire, word is that there is a new location opening somewhere in Austin. Does anyone know have any idea of the new location or possibly when it will open?
There is a new one in Round Rock... The Link I frequent the one in Leander often. Best Philly in town and it is not even close.
I remember the first time I went into the original Saccone's in Leander right after it opened. I ordered a Philly and I told Daniel Saccone that I really enjoyed Delaware's Philly and I was going to give his a try. He took me back into the kitchen and showed me the way he prepared his. That was and is the most allsome Philly I have ever had. I have eaten a ton of them since. If you have never had one I highly recommend it. You will never go back to Texadelphia again. EVER !
The Saccone's opening up next to Shooters @ 620/Volente is awesome news. Just minutes from my house, plus we will now have 2 of the best pizzas in town within just a couple of miles (Yagghis is off El Salido/Cypress Creek).
For a change of pace, try Domenick's, which is about a half mile from Yaghi's on Cypress Creek. They're also very good.
VO, I've been meaning to try Domenick's for awhile. I even picked up a menu when my wife & I were out for a long walk one night. What do you suggest from them? What is their strong point? Crust, sauce, toppings?
Okay, I got to scoop when I was at another location for dinner. The new location off 620 is suppose to open in January. The delay has been due to construction. This location will be the flagship store. So excited!
A co-worker has been jonesing for the new Saccone's to open for months now. She told me she pulled into the lot the other day & saw them working inside. She got out & actually talked to the owner. They're hoping to be open by the end of January. Apparently he's had a nightmare w/ contractors & that's really put them behind schedule.
They opened yesterday, pizza only. Full menu on Feb. 14 (official open date). Finally! Now if I can confirm that they deliver to our house, my life will be complete.
So went there this weekend after the baseball game, still not a full menu. Anyone know when the full menu is going to be avaliable? Not like it matters too much, but just curious.
