Santa Clara series — SWEEP!

Will makes the grab in CF. He and LF ought to communicate. Almost a collision in the OF

3 down and a nice job by Navarre.

We will never know but I would argue that we would have multiple losses by now if we left pitchers in longer.

Flores tries to lay down a surprise bunt but pushes it too far and is thrown out. Had he taken some off of it and down the line, he could have made it.

Rodriguez at the plate and batting .352 on the season right now as a true freshman (as I type this, he flies out.). We have (5) hitters batting above .300, Farmer being one, quietly putting together a good resume.

Correction: (6) hitters, I failed to see Borba is hitting above .300, sitting at .333 as well.

To the bottom of the eighth. 4-1 us.

This new SC pitcher is from Salinas, CA, which is the setting for Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice and Men.’

There’s that 3 stooges base running again. Fortunately they can’t gun Mendoza down. No harm no foul. I suppose.
