Schooner overturns

Please tell me somebody has video of that. That's why mascots don't belong on the field until the game is over. Also hilarious their million dollar solution to the line it plowed through the field was to have people stamp on the turf until it looked semi-normal. Although it's still very visible from the 10 yard line through the end zone.

I did love the concern for the schooner and not for the people in the toy wagon.'

 

Were the cheerleaders all wearing underwear this time?

 

I guess OU doesn't have a highly regarded physics department. Don't make sharp left turns with a big dudes on the right side of the wagon .....SMH ...Should put little skinny guys on that thing in the first place..

At least the little ponies appear to be OK. That's a relief.

 

Glad everyone is okay, but I’ve always thought that Chuck wagon with a group of kids running around it was an accident waiting to happen.
Plus, it just looks goofy.

The design of that thing dictates a turning radius only slightly smaller than that of the U.S.S. Nimitz.

 

And maximum velocity of 5 mph.

 

Same type accident happened about 10 years ago at ou game .... everybody was ok. Ruf Neks were still able to sleep in their mobile home away from ou dorm that eve.

In all seriousness, running that schooner onto the field at a high speed, being pulled by two excitable animals, is a recipe for disaster. It’s only a matter of time before someone sustains a serious injury. OU was very lucky yesterday.

They need to modify how they do it...

 

They just shouldn't have mascots on the field during the game, only before and after. Yeah, Bevo has shat upon football fields before, but we don't bring him out to release during commercial breaks.
