I'm flying down from Chicago next month to Houston for work. Staying near the Galleria area but ... is there somewhere in the vicinity that sells Post Oak wood CHUNKS? fruitawoodchunks.com sells it online for a 10 lb box for $28 + shipping, but i'd imagine i could find it cheaper and ship it back myself (I get negotiated/discount UPS rates). Even San Antonio would work ... driving in for my brother's graduation. Really want the post oak wood for my smoker and you can't get it up here in Chicago. Wood selection is crappy in general up here
I was at Goode and Company bbq on Kirby last weekend, and we noticed they sold bags of different wood chunks for your smoking pleasure, but didn't check the price or weight of the bags. There are bound to be other places that sell bbq supplies like that in H-town.
