Forbes can screw himself. We all have deficiencies in this life, and Saban's job is to coach football period. He's not here for anyone to like, he's here to win. It's why the game is played, it's why they keep score. I hope Tom Herman is more like Nick Saban than like Charlie Strong. It is the corner office, etc. Anyone not liking that is with those of us who have failed, or who have never tried to be their best at something, so good that their character is attacked because it just can't be right that someone is that good at something (Bill Beilichic).

I saw somewhere that Mizzou is pushing hard for Traylor to be their new OC. Did Herman run Traylor off last January? Why would Jeff choose to coach at Smew instead of staying at UT?

Whatever happened, it didn't benefit us. If tom has to beg to get Traylor back, I hope he does it.

Traylor to Arkansas, Morris kept him on staff. Terrible news.

No Orlando to SMU but Sonny Dykes did just hire Texas defensive quality control coach Trey Haverty as a defensive coach.

Good for him. That is the way the system is supposed to work. Herman can use the dead period to find a new quality control coach and update his mental DC list as Orlando will be gone after 2018 for sure.

Kinda reminiscent of Greg isn't it? No one ever poached him either.

Orlando is not going anywhere for awhile. He's not going to take some popdick job like smu when he has it made here. Besides no big time program is going to hire him until we are kicking --- on a national stage and his defense is ACTUALLY good.

    He will wait for that.

That would be best for Texas, but remember Tom Herman first went to a popdick job like Cougar High when he had it made in Columbus.

Venables is making 1.7 million at Clemson. With bonus over 2 million.
If next season Orlando keeps the defense on track, I think give him a nice fat raise.

I say this because I liked GD more than many in here. But he was a coordinator at UT. If a guy is a good coordinator, but not HC material, who are our coordinators going to be "poached" by? Realistically, Alabama. No other school can "poach" our coordinators to be coordinators.
