Shane is a HUGE reason for Ponies success this season. Very pleased for him YUP, CS seat is very HOT right now.
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup butter 2 eggs He got this
Charlie Strong has now lost 9 games in a row to FBS teams. In theory, he should end this streak at UConn this week.... but he tends to struggle with out of state road games. It appears very unlikely Strong is the coach when USF visits Austin next year, unless USF cannot afford his buyout. Remember, Strong's contract was backloaded... I bet USF is regretting that right now. For UT's sake as an easy win before we play LSU, I hope the Bulls retain Strong. I like how if you google Charlie Strong's contract, there are all these articles talking about how smart USF was in drafting it. South Florida capitalizes on Charlie Strong's Texas deal Strong's contact total value $9.8 million: 2017: $1 million 2018: $1 million 2019: $2.5 million 2020: $2.6 million 2021: $2.7 million After this season, South Florida will still owe Strong $5.3 million or 54% of his $9.8 million contract for his last two years! Why does it make me happy that this deal to screw Texas turned out to bite South Florida in the butt?
Can't believe Shane-r did that to his ex-beloved mentor/coach/guidance counselor. NOT saying that Shane doesn't still love Charles, just can't believe he'd do such a thing...
Wasn't it only like 41-0 when Sonny took his foot off the gas? Charlie's team couldn't beat Katy, Northshore (with or without Evans), or Duncanville. No discipline, no coaching, no future. It will be interesting to see what Kerwin Bell does with them.
Well, mainly started the thread to celebrate Shane. SMU 5-0. Really good to see Shane doing well and getting some national recognition.
The USF administration thought it was hilarious Texas was paying their head coaches salary. Little did they know the joke was on them.
I am starting to feel sorry for Charlie. He is a good man just lousy as a head coach. It is not his fault he keeps getting head coaches jobs for which he is not qualified.
What do you mean by "not qualified"? Even after his failures at Texas, his resume at Louisville was still enough that it was obvious he was going to get another shot at a G5 school.
I think Charlie took a huge chance when he took the Texas job when he wasn't;t ready. And it backfired badly. And he has never recovered. I have seen this kind of thing at work where someone gets promoted to Project Manager when they are not ready. And they fail so badly that they everyone loses confidence in them, they lose confidence in themselves, and regress in their career. He said as much when he admitted he had to think about it, and only took the job after he consulted someone who told him when you get an opportunity like Texas you have to take it. That tells me he knew he was not ready. Part of me doesn't blame him. No one was ever a success by playing it safe. But at some point you need to listen to that voice win your head that is screaming "NOOOOO!!!! YOU'RE NOT READY! This will be your worst nightmare!"
