57 words a minute. I often tell people that of all the classes I took in High School, the one that has benefited me more than any other in every day life is the typing class I took as a freshman. It is a skill I use more than any other on a daily basis.
I got 90 on that test, which kind of surprised me. Back when I was practicing several times a week I got up to 80 or 85 but that was several years ago and I expected to be at more like 70.
54, it takes longer when you have to look up at the sentence, then look down at the keybhord, then look back up at the sentence, then look back down....etc.
45, Im not a touch typist and can go faster if I just type what Im thinking instead of reading and typing.
65. I have taken several tests for job interviews and I get somewhere around 55-60 wpm. I agree that taking typing in H.S. was the one freaking class that has had a major impact on my life. Although I still do a combination of remembering where the keys are and looking sometimes. Which means I fluctuate wildly in my typing speed. Although the ideas that come out of my head seem to fly by the quickest - since I dont have a page to look back and forth between the sceen and page.
71 first try. 85 second. I think that is about right as I average about 80'ish. An ex of mine was in the 130 or more range. She could type something and then look up while the cursor was still cruising along for a little while. Granted, she was an executive assistant at the IMF.
78 with no error. That's gotta be inaccurate. I wasn't that fast in high school when typing all the time.
