Wondering if anyone out there has tried any good ways of powering down entertainment systems or large numbers of electronic devices with a device such as this surge protector.

Yes, I know I could get off my lazy *** and unplug things one by one, but something like that sounds pretty useful, and hopefully saves some dough.

I have a 36" tv, Wii, XBox 360, stereo system, cable box, and a cable modem all plugged into the same area. It sounds like with this gadget I could plug my TV into the control slot, plug my cable modem into always on, and then the Wii, 360, stereo, and cable box could be shut off (cable box isn't a DVR, so I'm pretty sure it's ok to shut down).
