    I just hate throwing guys out of the game when the QB ducks at the last second. D player is committed to the tackle and then bam, you're out of the game. I'm ok with the 15 yd penalty but think you shouldn't get tossed until your 2nd like it used to be. May be the only thing I'd ever agree with a ND alum on.

    Yeah, Overshown almost got throw out of the Texas game from the QB slide. I understand once the QB is well into the slide not to hit him, as the ball is dead at the point of the slide. But a QB running with a full head of steam past the line of scrimmage is just another runner these days, with 230 pound QB's.

    The refs usually get it right on the replay - I've seen several calls overturned for that.
