We've had some tradition of taking the larger sort of TEs ("blocking TEs") and turning them into OTs. Tony Hills, Tweedie, others. The converted TEs often make good pass blocking OTs. To my recollection, it's been a while since we've done this, and I'd like to see it more. Wiley looks like the sort that might consider such a move to OT. 6'7" 255 lbs (I suspect he's well North of 255 lbs by now). Heck, we might even get to see the first ever tackle around play where the tackle passes the ball...

    Chop,

I think your best example may be a DKR recruit from San Antonio named Dave Studdard. Ten years as OT with Broncos.

TEs generally have good quickness and footwork for big men. Some of them have big frames they just haven’t filled out yet as incoming Freshmen.

Other TEs are more or less really big receivers.
