The Link If you feel moved to congratulate the team for a great season in person. I plan on being there.
I hope some people were there. Team deserves it. I just flew in from Omaha and had to get to work, or I'd be there. I know most of the people that went to the CWS are on the road home right now.
Well that was cool I got to chat a bit with Tommy Harmon and Augie Garrido and got to shake the hands of a couple of the players. I think that is a good way to end Baseball season. Now on to Football.
Yeah, it was short notice. I just know that some players were taken back by our lack of fans in Omaha ... we were outnumbered in the USM and LSU games. I was shocked that the Cajuns had us 5-1 in the fan category. Oh well.
I heard that excuse ... but I call BS. There were a ****-ton of Bama banged, front tucking Cajuns up there. Their fans brought it ... ours did not.
I'm curious as to why we didn't travel very well. I'm not trying to indict anyone; I didn't make it down there either, for a variety of reasons. But I thought with going back there after the "drought", plus the way we pack it in at the Disch, that we would have more fans actually in Omaha. Are we that less passionate about baseball than LSU fan? I don't think we are, but based on how well they brought it compared to us, others might infer that.
I heard about it this morning on the way to work and wanted to go today to welcome them back but I had a meeting at 2pm. I too hope to make that trip to Omaha one day.
Barton Hills or Anyone in Attendance On TV, it seemed that USM and LSU fans' seats were closer to the field and more compact. I am referring to the reserved sections. Is that a true perception? LSU fans are able to travel because most are on welfare and do not have to work.
