He must not have been paying close attention to the last 4 years that Mack Brown was the coach, it wasn't nirvana beating them then either.

 

Mack Brown beating Cal 21-10 in the 2011 Holiday Bowl was great. I hope Coach Strong adds two more wins over them! Always great to beat Cal after their rose bowl nonsense.

 

Remember how they then turned around and lost 31-45 to a Texas Tech team that we had trounced 51-21 on the road?

The current Cal players and staff have no emotional connection to that little spat. I suspect most of them were too young at the time to even remember it now without being reminded.
