Hornfans: I'm an alumni of little Austin College (est. 1849) in Sherman, TX. For fun I write old Austin College sports stories. I live in Austin. Brother is a Longhorn, wife is a Longhorn, kids are Horn fans, and I work for UT. This month's tale is about a football game between UT & Austin College in 1912, scheduled to replace the UT-A&M game when the rivalry was put on hold 1911-1915. The game took place at Clark Field on the campus of UT. If you look Longhorn football history, and Texas football history in general, you may like the read. A&M and the Sooners also make an appearance. If you have any interest at all, I highly recommend Chapters 4 and 5. The story is 8 chapters, and can be read on public Facebook links.
