I know this doesn't really mean Vegas thinks ou will win by that much, it drives the betting, but I hope the players see this and get angry.

Love it. By game time next Saturday I hope it’s up to 15.

This is interesting. Texas is better than last year (outside the secondary) and OU likely worse overall. If secondary does a decent job, Texas wins.

I like the fact we've played 2 decent to very good teams and OUs played no one. Hell I'd come close to betting on Texas +3. At 12.5 that's a steal. Where do I place bets. Never done it. Can you bet Vegas from Texas? Anyone that knows anything about the RRR knows anything more than 7 is stupid. Games are almost always close regardless. Hell we barely beat them in 09 with Bradford hurt and Colt a Sr. We've beaten them more times than I can count when we were huge underdogs. In 79 with Billy Simms and Co. and we kicked his *** all day long. What a jerk he was.

Surprised it is not higher. Getting beat by a team that at best will finish 2nd in their division is a killer for any Big XII team. No one outside of Big XII country believes in any team other than ou. (Just like the Sons of Clem are the only team in the ACC that has any creditability.)

Since 1997, the RRR underdog is 12-8-1 against the spread with 9 outright wins, and the average "miss"/variance of point spread vs actual score is 19 points.
Texas was a 7.5 dog last year.

I'm glad we are the 'dog. I wouldn't want to be the favored team.

That's high. Smart money may watch the line get driven up and come in at the end and clean up. This is a dangerous place to try to let the lines catch up with OU.

Vegas? No. The sportsbooks out there (legitimate) that have apps for mobile betting are good at the location thing.

That being said, if you are OUT there, you can place the bet.

There ARE some online options, but deposits and cashouts can sometimes be problematic. They often use the same third-party workaround for deposits that got the online poker sites into trouble prior to Black Friday.

I need to check my ticket to see what I got...I don't remember if I bet the game on money line or whether I got points back in June. At least I THINK that was the June trip...might have been the August trip. More inclined to think it was the June one since I definitely remember thinking about adding more on the UH line in August...and the original ticket had been bought for both at the same time.

IMHO the RRR has always been dangerous to bet on the line....

Have a feeling in coming years we won't be "enjoying" the dog role as often in this series.

Totally disagree. Take the underdog and you do quite well on average. Rivaly games almost always favor the dog against the spread. But back to my original point we are already battle tested to a large degree. You can certainly say OU QB is, but not this year with this team. It's hard to realize you're not playing UCLA until you get hit in the face on the first series. RRR is war. Glad we've already had LSU and will be better prepared. If we can play LSU to 7 and beat OSU with the screw ups in that game, we can certainly take care of the spread in this game.

I'll say OU's defense HAS to be better and, on offense, the only difference is the names on the back of the jersey, perhaps the play calling, but the results are the same. Texas was up by 3 touchdowns and I blinked and it was tied. I think the Texas defense better show up that day in Dallas.
