http://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/rankings First, this is just for this week, so not too much to get excited about. I thought we were too high to start off at #2 and I'm fine with us yo-yo'ing up and down the top 15 as long as it gives us a decent seeding in March. I wondered if we would be "rewarded" for playing UConn tough, and so it seems.
The sting of that loss not quite as bad as it first appeared. Games that TCU has lost they were in it from what I’ve seen. I thought they were going to win that game in Norman for instance
Nice to see us move up. I have not doubt that the top ten is going to continue to change as the Big 12 and SEC continue to beat each other up.
Actually I wasn’t referring to RPI when I mentioned TCU. If at the end of regular season the selection committee is looking at Texas “bad losses” - as long as TCU is ranked, that loss is not NEAR as bad as any of us thought in the committee eyes.
The committee doesn't look at polls as it is not one of their criteria for seedings. I hope TCU wins a game or two against OU, OSU, and Baylor, as that will help their RPI. And, #73 is better than being in the 100's.
