Texas @ TCU

Wednesday, 01/10/2018 @ 8:00 PM Central on FSS.

While I am very grateful this game is being televised, it is at the exact same time as the men's home game against TCU.

We had like 5 conferences games last year which were played at the exact same times as the men's games. Don't want to look to see how many we have in conflict this season.

 

Will be at the game. Hopefully Brooke will get out of her road slump tomorrow (6/21, 1/10 from 3 in the last 2 away trips) , Lashann contains Ramirez and the Longhorns head back to Austin with a victory.

 

Have to play good post defense and perimeter defense.

 

Hoping we start out better than we did at KSU.

OU/Tech game may run a minute or two late. So, we might not see the very beginning of our game on FSN.

25-24 TCU. Frogs now in the bonus. Texas yet to shoot a free throw.

 

We have no answer for their inside game???

 

We were up 22-12 in the first quarter. Now down 24-29. Outscored 17-2 in the last several minutes. Falling in love with the 3 point shot against the zone and no one hitting them.

 

Surprised Coach A isn't calling any timeouts; can't take 'em with you at half.

 

Umm TX we need u to get it together. These slow 1st qtr starts will eat us alive against UCONN.
And where is Boothe?!?!

 

Why do Texas always look like they are not prepared to face a Zone.
I just don't get it.

32-24 TCU. Brooke once again isn't doing anything.

 

Sorry, but Underwood is making too many mistakes.

 

38-26 TCU after two free throws by Atkins, and back to back 3 point shots by TCU. Coach A finally decides to call a timeout with 2 minutes left in 2nd qtr. TCU on a 26-4 run in the last 10 minutes.

 

We're down by 12 against TCU.

 

And still haven't figured out how to play against a zone. SMH

 

40-31 TCU at half. Just awful offense and defense by Texas. Not having any of our freshmen "shooters" able to play really hurting tonight as our veterans not shooting well at all.

Destiny Littleton in warmups again; but, she doesn't show any obvious injury.

 

Very disappointed with Coach A not calling timely (and needed) timeouts. And, Brooke still in a slump. Really wish Chasity would get a chance against a zone defense; she can't do any worse than what Underwood showed.

 

I don't think we have played a worse quarter this year. Shooting 33% from the field will not beat anyone.

 

Gonna be an uphill climb in the second half if we don't make a quick scoring run to start the 3rd quarter. Allowed TCU to gain a lot of confidence with that huge 28-9 run.
