Tap the brakes there, buddy. It's one series against an (obviously overrated) SEC team that hadn't been tested until this weekend. There is a LOT of baseball to be played before we can start feeling cocky and relaxed. Dion doesn't count, obviously.
If anyone had told me before the season that 13 games in the Horns would be 10-3 I would have taken that in a heartbeat, the first 13 included 4 true road games, a four game set with a team in tourny last year in Purdue and 3 games with consensus top two ranked LSU. The stumble against UTSA aside Texas came through with flying colors and is currently in great shape to challenge Tech for the Big XII and challenge for a regional host spot if not a national seed. That said, 12 of the next 14 games are against teams currently ranked so while this sweep is outstanding, there is a ton of work left in this ridiculously tough early season schedule. Getting at least a split in Palo Alto now looms and that is a really tough task so this next week is just as big if not bigger than the past one.
What a fun team to watch! Love the young arms in the pen and the freshman presidents. Ready to be at the Disch for the Xavier series and aggy game.
