The Horns have a pair of midweek games with the Wolfpack of Nevada. In any regional one loss can mean not just your fourth but also your seldom seen fifth starter becomes important and last week and this week are good chances to see who that number five starter might be with the second midweek game.

So wish I lived close to Austin to go see a Big 12 weekend series...

You know without all the flak and criticism from the old lady. My kids are grown and on their own... she cannot shame me I'm selfish toward my sons. Anyway, I suppose some of you understand / agree and some of you happy souls disagree....

I live 60 miles from Austin, and it’s too far for me to go for a weeknight game. They just last so long, and by the time I get home from the game it’s just too late.

Witt has looked pretty sharp tonite.

Melendez HR streak ends but he still went 2 for 3.

 

Solid bullpen win for a Tuesday night.

 

Nixon’s had some really good outings recently. It’s good to have 3 + good relievers.
