Triple, walk and double net 2 runs. This bid the complete opposite of SEC gorilla ball and how you win at DF field.
Only thing wrong in that inning was double play to end it. Otherwise, likely one more run. No strikeouts in that inning either.

I don't understand letting a guy with a .214 average hit away in the bottom of the 1st with runners on 1st & 2nd a no outs. Bunting gets guys 2nd and 3rd with 1 out and possibly bases loaded and no outs. Letting him hit away could result in a DP or a strike out without advancing the runners and that's what did happen. What are the chances of blowing it open with a big hit from a .214 hitter vs getting a bunt down? I just don't think the risk/reward was worth it in that situation. If Antico gets the bunt down it's at least 1 run in the 1st and Madden gets a W for the game.
I agree. There seems to be a higher than average baseball mentality among the players (for example they knew immediately what to with that play at first when the Carolina player turned into the field). The offensive issue is still all of the K's.
Nailed it, Viper. There is a chance of having something good happen if you put the ball in play - no chance if you strike out.
Man on 3rd with no outs in bottom 8th. Zubia strikes out looking. Need the 3rd run for security with top of 9th coming.
