Horns have a Tuesday night visit to the Islanders for a mid-week match up at Whataburger field down in Corpus. Texas' road record has not been good this year so this one will be something of a test.

There will be several thousand more Horn fans at Whataburger field tonight than at the McNiece game. Horns have a huge following here Aggies drew 4,000 last Tuesday. We will do much better

 

Corpus Christi A&M is decent to good this year. They won a series against UT-Arlington on the road, won the annual tournament at Whataburger Field which included UC Santa Barbara and Mississippi State, and played A&M tough. However, after starting 10-2, they have gone 6-11 their past 17 games. I do not think we need our A game to win, but we still will need to play well. The Islanders are good enough this year that if we play as poorly as we did against McNeese, they will knock us off.

 

They are predicting bad weather in Corpus Christi so it is unclear if the game will be played.

 

Remember Texas is 2-2 in their last 4 games with Corpus aggy.

Horns take 9-0 lead into bottom of ninth but Beau Ridgeway continues to struggle and gives up 3 runs and is pulled with bases loaded. Elder gets K to finish 9-3 win. Horns improve to 19-12 and will host Baylor this weekend as they get back into conference play.

 

The Clemens grand slam was a monster hit. Great road win!
