Only game this week is a Tuesday night clash at the Disch with Texas Southern. Game preview and notes from Texassports: No. 22 Baseball preview: Texas Southern - University of Texas Athletics 2022 5 10 TSU (PDF) - University of Texas Athletics The optimist in me still holds out hope that the Horns win out and win the Big XII tourney and sneak in to host a regional though it might be better to be two seed in the 9-11 seeds regionals than a 15 or 16 seed and be staring down a super in Knoxville or Fayettenam.
We're at #17, and stand a good chance at hosting a regional if we sweep KU and win what's left of these little mid-week games.

They have a 0.317 batting average, so their bats are pretty lively. They also have 195 steals. Big game for Silas behind the plate.
Another scoreless inning by Harrison and the Texas D. Kudos to good plays by Daly and Faltine. 4-0 us.
6-1 us after 3 innings. Now Coach is going with Olivarez. Harrison gave up one run in just under three complete innings for just a tad over a 3.00 ERA. That’s good. That’s not Freshman All-American good. But it’s good. We need more competent starters as we just don’t know whether Tristan will snap out of his long funk in time for the tournaments. It’s hard to tell what Coach’s thinking is here, but I would guess it’s to get Olivarez a bunch of innings experience as well. Harrison has shown he can start, at least against a mid-week sort of opponent. Olivarez is another guy with good numbers that needs more innings.
