The rubber match of this season long Tuesday night three game series is tonight in Austin. Horns have played really well in these mid week games and need to continue that trend if they are going to make the NCAA tournament.
Horns scratch out two runs and the pitching staff works its way out of several jams to keep the shutout in tact as Horns win 2-0. Texas moves to 25-15 and with 14 games left and an RPI in top 40 Texas is now in home stretch if it is going to qualify for the tournament. Out of conference series against New Orleans coming up this weekend and Horns really need a sweep. Twice, TSU had bases loaded with no outs and could not score. Our pitchers and defense really stepped up when they had to.
