Tech desperately needs to win the series to stay in the hunt....Tech will be fired up. Horns need to bring their A game for all 3 games. Go Horns!
TCU looms next week and the couch-burners right behind them. @TCU will be a tough series and WV at the Disch.... good prospect to at least win the series.
We have three starters, each of whom would be the #1 pitcher for almost every team we play. Tech seems to have better pitching depth than what we've faced thus far, so this series should be a dog fight--possibly a low scoring dog fight. But you never know... Go Horns!
Dang infield blooper hit by Tech. No way of playing it. It wasn’t like the placement of our infielders was off for fielding a bunt. And now a two run double.
Monteverde is in the 90s for his pitch count and getting a bit wilder. Only the 5th inning. We’ll see what their bullpen is made of.
TT reliever Sublette is throwing in the mid 90s. And he strikes out two and shuts us down... Guess Tech has a bullpen...
They’ve got a bullpen all right. Let’s win the next two and take the series. TT 26-0 when they score 5+ runs.
I think the guys are all trying to swing for the fences or something...The strikeout numbers lately have been ridiculous. Gotta win the next two!
horns threaten with runners on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out, but two strikeouts kill the threat. 0-0 after 5.
We threaten and their pitcher bears down and strikes out 2 to end the threat. They threaten us and our pitcher folds with 2 HBP, 1 BB, and a wild pitch. Our quiet bats to start the season were not a fluke. We collectively cannot hit against good pitchers.
Ugh. I kept hoping that winning string wasn’t built against weak teams. Guess it was. We’re not a top ten team, def shouldn’t be ranked 10 spots ahead of tceh… Oh well, CDC, go get Tadlock…
