Strange feeling this winning is. Me likey and vote for more.
Wow. We had more short yardage stops on D in the 4th Qtr than we have had all season. We basically had a MASH unit on the field today.
Players and coaches ending the season with Horns up singing the Eyes. Get these kids back the books, get healthy and coaches need to go recruit their a$$es off.
Please please don’t allow us to get a bowl bid with 5 wins. We don’t need the extra 10 practices, we need health and recruiting.
We played with heart. The O-line actually blocked people in the 4th quarter. When's the last time that happened?
The team and staff needed that for sure
Our Defensive personnel, strategy, and tactics worked very well against a traditional run/balanced offense.
Stopping the air raid offenses will require an improved pass rush. That’s what we need most on D—an improved pash rush.
Wow! In that time, I went from being young and handsome to old and decrepit.
Amazing how the D can hold up when they get to rest a little. The offense wasn't great...but ran the ball well enough to stay on the field and spell the D.
KState helped too with a relatively weak offensive effort...
Loved RJ, seeing Wiley a couple plays (dude looks like a beast), Ford and Gbenda paired well, oline run blocking, 4th down stops, Worthy early impact, saw a few run gaps plugged. Bear in mind, KState offered little pass threat...but any win is a good one and the guys played hard again...but added smarter to it.
Me too. Funny how that works.
A couple of years after we joined the B12, I was riding the tram between terminals at DFW. I was wearing a Longhorn windbreaker. A dude decked out in KSU purple from head to toe walks up and begins to tell me how much he hates UT and everything burnt orange. This dude was red-faced and spitting as he talked. All I could do is stand there and laugh as I listened to him. Over the years I've met more just like him.
So yeah, this feels good. Kinda feels good to tell KSU and tceh folks that even in our worst year since 1956, we still beat them.
Just curious. Was this the shortest game this year?
I picked us to be 11-1 at the beginning of the season.
That Herman-era* rugby scrum really worked well today. It was responsible for more than a few first downs, and plenty of extra yardage.
*actually, this still-effective football tactic goes back to the great Yale teams circa early 1900s.
The training room will work overtime.
Me too. And after seeing that today, I’m drinking a gallon of Orange Koolaid spiked with rum and bourbon tonight.
Maybe we don’t deserve it, but a bowl game and getting a lot of extra practices for all the new faces would be huge.
Hey, I drank the koolaid preseason too... I predicted 10-2.
A dukesteer guy did too.
Can't wait for Sark's presser
We’re undefeated on LHN!!
So Armani Winfield decided to decommit during the game….chickenshit move IMO.
LHN talkers have been correctly very critical
It is nice to see them as happy as the team
Our 5-7 team whipped a physical 7-5 team. Three plays from 8-4.
Next year should be a lot better
I agree. It will be something to see how many horns opt out in hopes of not ruining their NFL draft status
Which Horns could hurt their chances?
Maybe I missed the sarc
I thought 9-3 was the ceiling with 7-5 the floor. Sure did miss that on both ends.
Apparently the team is enjoying the win in the locker room
They deserve it.
Agree! They've gone through the worst stretch of football my eyes have ever seen. Celebrate the win and use it through the off season to get better. Hopefully we don't get suckered into a bowl game and end up blowing this mojo. I've heard there will be about 2-3 5 win teams get in because there aren't enough 6 win teams to fill the spots.
Toilet bowl here we come.
Sark said they would decide if an invite was offered. He mentioned both sides
One thing he did say I liked is he didn't feel effort was being made by some so he sent others in
And the result pleased him.
Hell yes. You aren't giving it all you ride the bench.
The players LHN interviewed all want to play a bowl game.
Never ever heard of him. Well, Bye!
Most definitely. Somewhere between 95-99.
