Texas vs Oklahoma game thread. (ESPN2)

Assuming Tennessee does not continue to try to set a record for most runners left on base in a game.

Weather looks nice. We will have a game today.

Blaire's control is a bit off so far. four walks.

 

Blaire's replaced by Kim. Wonder if Blaire can come back later?

 

looks like our pitchers are having control issues.

should have had that one at first. still need an out to end the inning.

 

so far, mainly flyballs & weak grounders to the infielders by Texas. need a rally in the next three innings.

 

getting close to that 8 run rule. Horns have to bring it in the fifth. Need to get out of the fourth first.

 

Well this one has gotten out of hand. So many close plays and untimely errors. Sooners 9 - 2.

 

new pitcher in the Horns as OU chases Kim after they chased off Blaire. Holly Kern on the mound for the Horns trying to get that elusive third out.

What on earth happened? I had been away from home with no TV, and I got home and found that OU was up 9-2. Did we just collapse??

 

just a bad day. if it was the first game, I would have thought it was nerves. Horns are going to have to come back through the losers bracket. Good thing they don't play until tomorrow. Good thing, and I'm reaching, we got three pitchers that have WCWS experience now.

I would say a couple of things. We came inches from having a 5 - 0 lead. A lead off walk with ok big three hitters next up followed. An error on a throw to first and missed a force out at home. Luna could not throw strikes and untimely mistakes and the floodgates opened.

 

Holy Cow! I was out today too, didn't expect to see this score when I checked in... come Lady Horns let's rally!!!

 

Texas is better than that. I just wish the Horns "showed up" everytime they play Oklahoma in *ALL* sports.
