I paid for the video for this, but it hasn't come up yet, this could be an adventure.

First road game of the new season for the Horns against an old foe and coached by former Horn Ty Harrington.

Texas has won 22 straight games in the series.

Will see if the video will work and look for the line-ups.

Hey I've got video now, but no sound, that's something at least.

Brandon Lewis will get the ball for Texas State, a big lefty.

Nice night for baseball it looks, but doesn't sound like, as their is no sound yet.

Zane Gurwitz in centerfield will lead off for Texas, as some sound is up now.
A ground ball to third and it's off the third baseman's glove they say, only one camera, which didn't show it.
    Infield single.

Bret Boswell bats lefty, with one on.
He bunts and the sac goes 1-3.
    Runner to second.

Joe Baker at second, bats righty, with one on and one down.
He swings and misses at a high heater, two gone.

Tres Barrera will bat righty, with one on, and one on.
Tres is at first base tonight.
Gurwitz goes and gets gunned down at third, and that's a running bungle, as he was already in scoring position.

    That rock retires the side.

Nothing for Texas, Texas State coming up.

  4. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Morgan Cooper will get the start for Texas. The righty will try and get some extended time on the mound.

Leading off for Texas State is the second baseman Johnathan Ortega batting righty handed.
He K's looking on a fastball and it's one away.

Luke Sherley the shortstop, bats righty, with one down.
Grounder to second and the 4-3 is two away.

Lefty hitting Granger Studdard plays left feld with two outs.
Another grounder to second and another 4-3 will retire the side in order.

    Nice start for Cooper.

    One played, no runs.

  5. NBHorn7

Lewis back to the mound, for his second inning of work.

Barrera will lead off, he was left at bat, on the caught stealing by Gurwitz.
He pops up foul on the right side and the first baseman has it, one away.

Texas catcher bats righty, with one away.
He sends a fly ball to center and the centerfielder goes back and has it for two gone.

Travis Jones will play in left field and bat righty, with two outs.
A ground ball to second and the 4-3 will retire the side in order.

Bottom of two and nobody has touched the pay station.

So Cooper back to the hill in the Bobcat second.

Leading off for the Bobcats is their right fielder Theodore Hoffman, batting from the right side.
Cooper blows a fastball right by him and the swinging K is one down.

The DH is Ryan Newman, batting lefty.
A ground ball to third and the dive by Jones has it and his high throw is snagged by Barrera, who gets the tag, for the second out.
    It's goes 5-3.

Tanner Hill bats righty, with two outs, he plays at first base in the contest.
The count runs full and a low fast ball is a walk and the first runner for the Bobcats.

Nick Perez will step in right handed with one on and two down, he plays third base.
Another walk will put two on.

The Texas State catcher Jared Huber, bats righty, with two on and two gone.
A liner to right and it's a single, it scores a run. The runners moved up on the throw home.

    Texas State leads 1-0.

Cody Lovejoy, bats righty, with two on and two down.
A balk is called and that scores another run.

    Texas leads 2-0.
Augie out, not sure with this one camera what Cooper did.

Lovejoy K's swinging on a curve, he had no clue, so the balk really hurt.

Texas State gets 2 and leads 2-0, after two.

Lewis is now back for the Texas third, with a 2-0 lead.

Kaleb Denny leads off batting righty, he is the DH.
A fly ball to left center and it's one away.

Kody Clemens bats left with one down, he is at third base tonight.
He walks on a high fast ball, one on.

Jake McKenzie, is playing right field, bats righty, with one on and one down.
He flies to center and the centerfield has it for two away.

Gurwitz is back at the top of the order, with one on and two outs.
A liner to center is his second single of the game, to put two on.

Boswell who layed down a sac bunt his first time, bats lefty with two on and two down.
Need a two out hit to cut into the lead or do more damage than that.
A 2-0 count brings out the pitching coach for a chat.
Ump breaks it up finally and Boswell steps back in.
Boswell swings through a fast ball and the K ends the inning.

Two stranded and to the bottom of the third Texas State leads 2-0.

  8. NBHorn7

Cooper back again in the third, after a rough inning the second.

Leading off for the Bobcats is the top of the order in Ortega, batting righty.
He lines to third and Clemens has it for a quick out.

Righty hitter Sherley steps in with one down.
Grounder up the middle, but Boswell cuts it off and the 6-3 is two gone.

Studdard will bat lefty, with two gone.
He swings through a heater and that sets the side down in order.

Three played now and Texas State leads 2-0.

  9. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Lewis pitches on for the Bobcats in the fourth.

Leading off for the Horns is Baker batting right handed.
A liner to left goes to left fielder for one away.

Barrera steps in righty, with one down.
A fly ball goes foul down the line in right, but the right fielder is there and it's two gone quickly.

Cantu will bat righty with two gone.
The Horn catcher hits one well to left, but the wind knocks it down and the side is down in order.

Bottom of four and the Bobcats ahead still 2-0.

  10. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Cooper stays in for the Texas State fourth, only having given up one hit, but trailing 2-0.

Hoffman will lead off batting righty.
He takes a fast ball on the outside corner, the K is one out.

Newman will bat lefty, with one gone.
He lines a hanging curve ball to right center, for a single.

One on and one down, for Hill batting righty.
A wild pitch in the dirt, gets by Cantu and the runner moves to second.
He walks for the second time in the game, to put two on, he's a good hitter and it sets up the double play.

Perez bats in the bats righty, with two on and one out.
Skip out briefly, but returns to the dugout.
Cooper is struggling with command, still working his way back from Tommy John surgery, he needs some time still to get back to form.
A fly ball to right center and that's brought in by a ranging Gurwitz, two gone.

Huber bats righty, with two on and two down, he has the only rbi of the game so far, in his last at bat.
This time he swings late at a high gas and that retires the side.

Traffic for the Bobcats, but no damage done, now four completed and Texas State ahead 2-0.

Lewis still on the hill for the Bobcats, the freshman righty looks to become the pitcher of record and a possible win.

Leading off for the Horns is righty hitting Jones.
Rice knocked this guy out of the box, in the fifth in his first start, in an Owl 8-4 win.
A pop up to second is one down.

Denny bats righty, as the DH, with one away.
A bunt is layed down the third base line, the third baseman has and throws low and by the first baseman, Denny goes to second. It's ruled a hit and an E-5.

Kody Clemens bats lefty with one on and one down.
He grounds a ball by the shortstop and the oppo single puts runners on the corners, as Denny had to hold up.

McKenzie bats righty, with two on and one down.
He needs some contact to put Texas on the board.
Other than the dp grounder that is.
He lays down a bunt and the safety squeeze will get the runner home from third.

    Texas State leads 2-1.

Gurwitz bats righty with one on and one two away.
He has two hits so far and a ground by the third baseman and down the left field line, is another hit. The double ties the game.

    Game tied 2-2.

Boswell bats lefty with a man still in scoring position, with two outs.
Maybe this guy is only good for four inings, as his first start.
Coach is out, but leaves him in.
Boswell back in and a grounder goes through on the right side and the throw home is way wide and Gurwitz scores, for the first Horn lead.

    Texas leads 3-2.

This time Ty out and for the second time for Lewis he is knocked out of a game in the fifth inning.

    Pitching change.

The new Bobcat pither is another right hander, Brayden Theriot.

His first batter to face is Baker, batting righty with one on and two outs.
A liner to left center is another single and that puts two on.

Barrera bats righty, with two on and two gone.
A ground ball to third and the third baseman tags third, the 3U will end the inning.

Texas knocks out the starter Lewis and takes a 3-2 lead, as half the game is gone in San Marcus.

  13. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Cooper is removed, as he can only go so far still in his recovery, so freshman righty Beau Ridgeway comes in for the Bobcat fifth.

The bottom of the order is Lovejoy batting righty, to lead off, as the sound is gone again.
The count runs full and you want to throw to this guy, he looked awful in his first at bat.
He does and a little bleeder off the fists, but the metal bat helps it get just over the second base bag and it falls for a single.

Top of the order is Ortega, batting righty, with one on.
He squares and lays down a terrible bunt back to Ridgeway, the play goes 1-6, for the force and one down.

Sherley bats righty, with one on and one away.
He sends a liner to right, but right to McKenzie, for the second out.

Studdard bats lefty, with one on and two away.
A fly ball to right center and Gurwitz there, that retires the side.

Five in the books and Texas leads 3-2.

  14. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Theriot will come back out for the Bobcats in the sixth.

Cantu leads off batting righty, for the Longhorns.
He swings through a fast ball and the K is one down.

Jones will bat from the right side, one away.
A liner off the end of the bat will dent the grass in center, for a single.

DH Denny, who started the three run rally last inning, bats righty with one on and one down.
Jones takes off and beats the throw, for a stolen base.
Denny back in, man in scoring position.
He K'a swinging on the very high fast ball, two gone.

Kody tries to not strand another runner, batting lefty with one on and two gone.
He lines one down the third base line and I think the left fielder dove and missed it, as he went out of the range of our one camera broadcast.
It's a triple and another run scores.

    Texas leads 4-2.

McKenzie bats righty with a man on third and two outs.
He flies to center to end the frame.

Texas gets one more and leads 4-2, bottom of six.

  15. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Ridgeway back out for the sixth, with a two run lead.

Hoffman leads off batting right handed.
A ground ball to short, the 6-3 is one retired.

DH is lefty hitting Newman, with one out.
He is swings at a change of pace and the K is Hello and then Goodbye Newman! Two down.

Righty hitter is Hill, with two gone.
A long fly ball is back and gone off his bat, he had a homer last year against Texas and now another one.

    Texas leads 4-3.

Perez bats righty with two down.
A liner to right center is a single to put the tying run on.

Skip out and he wants another arm.

    Pitching change.

  16. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Travis Duke in for Texas, the senior lefty will come in as he often does, to try to shut down an inning.

Huber is batting righty against him, with one on, one in, and two down.
The count runs full and the runner will be off with the pitch.
A liner to center to Gurwitz, that retires the side, as Duke does his job.

Texas State gets one back, but Texas leads 4-3, after six.

  17. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Theriot is still on the mound for the Bobcats in the seventh.

The top of the order due for Texas and that means Gurwitz batting righty leading off.
He has three hits in the game.
On four pitches he reaches again, on a walk, a lead runner.

Boswell up lefty, with one on.

Ty out and he may want another pitcher, the ump out and Ty makes the signal.

    Pitching change.

  18. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

New Texas State hurler is Pasquale Mazzoccoli, sounds like a disease, but he is a big righty.

He will faces Boswell batting lefty, with one on.
He squares as you might suspect and fouls off two bunt attempts.
So he now is swinging away.
Gurwitz goes and for the second time is gunned down for one away.
Boswell walks, couldn't get the bunt down, but he gets on.

Baker bats righty, one on and one down.
A comebacker goes 1-6-3, the DP will end the once promising frame.

The mostly Bobcat fans stretch and Texas leads still 4-3.

  19. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Duke will return and pitch the Bobcat seventh hitting frame.

The bottom of the order in righty hitting Lovejoy, leads off for Texas State.
He loses hit bat on a swing and it goes over the head of the on deck hitter and off the screen. Heads up or down there.
The count runs full and he is hit by the pitch, the tying run on.

Top of the order, in righty hitting Ortega, up to bunt.
He squares and a wild pitch by Cantu moves the runner to second.
Perez had a bad bunt his last time at bat that resulted in a force.
This time it's a better bunt and it moves the tying run to third on the 1-3 sac.

Skip back out and another change is made.

  20. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

Another lefty pitcher for Texas in Jon Malmin. Duke doesn't have a strikeout this year, so maybe Malmin is brought in because you need one here.

Sherley bats righty, tying run at third, one away.
Infield will come in to try and cut off the run.
Have to watch the bunt too.
A fly ball to left medium depth, Jones comes in and pegs to the plate in plenty of time to cut down the runner trying to score.
    Nice throw there.

So with all that it still remains Texas 4-3 ahead, after seven.

Pitching coach out, but he leaves him in.

Skip out to talk where to go with the ball and other defensive measures.
    Shugart is not coming out.

Sherley back in from the right side.
A ground ball to short, he comes home and the 6-2 force is two down.

Lefty hitting Studdard hits with two down and the bases loaded.

  29. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

The game video I payed for is gone and gametracker is down. It's just me and Craig Way now. Mazzocolli is back on the hill again.

He is hit by a one hop pitch and the leading run is on.
