3 hard hit balls, not a good sign, hopefully Cole gets the ball down soon....some let Karl Ravich know that Dozier doesnt play for Texas
I'm listening to the radio, but from what Way and Moreland said, Keyes' two-out, off-the-wall double would've been a three-run homer any other day. The wind juuuuuuust kept it in.
Anything in the air is being held up, same thing happened in the first game...should work to out advantage if it will just stay that way the whole week. Time for a quick shut-down inning.
Great start for our 'Horns, but the Fightin' Favres won't roll over. Hope Cole can get his pitches down.
Nice double play there. Anybody watching the game care to share their thoughts on Cole? Doesn't sound like he's quite got his best stuff today, but if he can battle and give us six or more quality innings, we should be in good shape.
It isnt anything Cole is doing perse, i think his balls are just a little up in the zone, it may be b/c the ump isnt giving he the low strike, or So.Miss is just on him. His curve seems to have good bite.
did i hear ravech say "Texas is traditionally a power pitching and a power hitting team, but the HR are way down this year?". terrible preparation.
Gem, 2 of the 3 were well hit. other one was a fly ball. Clark's was hit hard up the middle that the pitcher deflected to the 2B who double-clutched and still got him. Faster runner would have beat it out. USM making good contact. Coulple were Atom balls which is helping. Hook'em!!! Hook'em!!!
Another double play!!! Awesome. So it sounds like Cole has good stuff, after all. He's throwing strikes--maybe leaving them up a bit--but the Eagles are being aggressive and making good contact. Would that be a fair categorization?
