Any word on Juwan Mitchell and why he didn't start this weekend. I don't even recall seeing him play.

It seemed like he had to sit out the 1Q, but was making plays after that
So maybe there was team-infraction related?

I wonder what a player has to do these days to get an infraction.

Yeah, maybe he showed up on time and was respectful to the coaches.

Possibly, but maybe Jacquess and Overshown just beat him out for the starting jobs.

I never saw an explanation for it. But he was in the game from the 2Q on

I respect the play of Jacques. I noticed he was around the ball. I have to check his stats. Obviously the coaches are comfortable with him.

Chaps my butt that OK is ranked a head of us.
    Ok, I understand

But we'll rectify that soon enough.

The Big 12 gave its weekly DPOW award to a player on the defense that gave up 600 yards to a school that plays home games in a strip club parking lot

They obviously don't subscribe to the New York Athletic Club Heisman voter ideal that the best player can come from a crappy team.

The ESPN FPI currently has us favored in all remaining games

On one play, Sweatt threw some pulling lineman about 4-5 yards into the backfield. It looked like tossing a rag doll or playing against a pee wee team. With our interior DL, we won't be getting pushed around up front by anyone.

Not excusing what Foster did, but a friend of mine busted out of USAF pilot training; then quit what is now battle management in the middle of an exercise; and went on to retire as an O-4 in logistics after the first Gulf War.

If this was Foster's first pouting episode, I might be in a forgiving mood. However this is at least the third episode, so at best the last one.

Anyone have any thought on QB pressure or getting into backfield?
Obviously an area we needed to improve on and was emphasized in offseason.
Didn't see many players in the backfield on many plays run or pass.
Did seem like UTEP schemed to get the ball out early (like Rams last night) but still...I did no like how well UTEPs line held us up at the line.
    Thoughts??

Well of course at least one Red Raider DB got 10+ tackles given all the completed passes they were allowing....

So it turns out our backup kicker has one of the better football names ever
    Erwin Von Nacher Hongo
He is from the RGV, weighs 160, and kicks with the wrong foot

One of Caden's younger WR brothers on HBU got 209 yds. The other WR brother got around 130 yds.

TTU was suffering from a few dozen COVID cases and contact isolations. I hope Texas tests them on Friday pre-game. Just saying ....

This game answered my long-standing question: 'Why do we keep recruiting so many WRs?'
