BirminghamCrème has Texas as last #1 with UCONN as the #2 in Spokane. I like that matchup.
Interesting how the pundits are putting UConn and Texas as the final one seed when both those teams net rankings are higher than USC. UConn net is #1, Texas is 3, and USC is 6th. Personally, I think USC should be the first second seed.Birmingham
Agreed! The only problem with that is that they would make us go West. I don't feel like we've necessarily played like a Top 4 team in the country over the last couple of weeks, but our resume speaks for itself. I'm concerned that the "eye test" may work against us when it really shouldn't.Interesting how the pundits are putting UConn and Texas as the final one seed when both those teams net rankings are higher than USC. True, my perception was that the selection committee bases their seeds on a team’s entire season’s body of work, not the past few weeks. If not, then what’s the point of winning early games? Save the legs for the conference tournament.Agreed! The only problem with that is that they would make us go West. Nice piece. Doesn't seem like it has been 18 years since she retired. I started going to her games the first year she was here, 1976 I believe, in Greg Gym. She grew up two houses down from me, so there was the hometown connection. I watched her play basketball on the Goldthwaite High School team (40 points a game), though I have to stretch back in my memory. I was in the first grade when she was a senior. So many good memories.![]()
Former head coach’s commitment cultivated fanbase, paved program’s way to success
When Texas Athletics hired Jody Conradt in 1976, the headline of a Texas newspaper that announced her position read, “Woman Earns Man-Sized Salary – $19,000.” She spent over 30 years proving she was the right person for the job. Even though the former head coach retired 18 years ago, Conradt’s...thedailytexan.com
You must be clairvoyant as the two teams are in the same region. Personally, I think SC got a cakewalk while Texas got a very testy regional.Wouldn't a Texas vs TCU be good matchup? I like it.

TCU beat Notre Dame early in a tournament... Notre Dame will definitely be looking for revenge.Yeah, but I’m seeing a rematch with Notre Dame.
Yes, but we also have to beat a very talented but inconsistent Tennessee team.Wouldn't a Texas vs TCU be good matchup? I like it.

You’re ok. When we signed up for tickets, the exact dates were unknown because the brackets had not been announced. Texas plays on Sat the 22nd and (we hope and expect) on Monday the 24th.Ok guys I readily admit defeat trying to figure out the schedule. I bought the prelim tickets offer for the ladies which say round 1 on the 20th and round 2 on the 22nd. But it looks to me like the Ladies do not play till the 22nd. Is this just luck of the draw and I’m out for their 2nd game? Anyone with experience at this help me here?
Not sure what you are referring to. My ticket purchase invitation dated Feb 20 said March 21/23 OR March 22/24, so no change.Whew, so the dates will be changed then?
There's also a game here on Thursday the 20th (High Point vs. William and Mary). Not sure what you are referring to. My ticket purchase invitation dated Feb 20 said March 21/23 OR March 22/24, so no change.
